Our special range is always changing as we test new flavours, experiment with different style, or create beers we've always dreamed of making. Most of the beers we make in this range will only be made once so you'll have to act fast to not miss out, however, if they are popular enough then they may grace us with their presence again.
All our specials are available in 9 Gallon Cask and 5/10/20 Litre Bag in Box
The Hop, Stock, & Barrel series was created to use up remaining stock of hops and malt, preventing us from wasting valuable resources whilst creating excellent beers. Sometimes we don't even know how each brew of Hop, Stock will turn out. All we can do is point it in the general direction of what we want and then let it run its course. Of course we always make each batch taste the best it can and it will always be up to the same excellent standard as our other beers.
We love hops and when we really love a hop we make a beer with just that hop! Introducing our single hopped beer range. An excellent way to really enjoy and experience that one single hop with no interference from anything else. Each of our single hopped beers will appear here and there with no rhyme or reason so keep your eyes peeled for when they grace s with their presence.
A special amongst special. We use locally sourced hemp flour to give this pale ale a deliciously nutty depth that you won't find in any of our other beers.

As a Real Ale brewery, we remained in familiar waters for a long time, but this time we decided to venture out into the unknown and through hell or high water, we'd make ourselves a proper lager! Brewed over the Christmas period to give us ample time to put it through the lagering process, at this time we can take up tank space without impeding our other brews, we were very proud of how crisp and refreshing it turned out.
And now we plan to brew this again for Summer/Autumn. Just in time for the sun and octoberfest
Castaway II: Electric Boogaloo. What happens when you go to brew a delicious Selby bitter but forget a bag of crystal malt. Then you get a delicious Golden bitter that tastes just as good. Only a hint less malty than our normal Selby Bitter, Castaway II still offers that smooth bitterness and a rich flavour whilst delivering a visually golden appeal.
It's shippy, it's Catty, its inspired by our own Gemma's two shipmates, Shadow and Bramble. New Zealand hops brings plenty of flavour depth and punchy character, we thought they would be perfect counterparts to the Jolly Ship's Cats. Shadow sits front and centre, his disapproving face judging your choice of not drinking our beer, while Bramble keeps watch on the cannon behind, ready to fire upon enemy vessels. You have been warned.
Jolly Sailor brewery Ltd was established in 2012 and is located in the pleasant market town of Selby on the banks of the River Ouse. We pride ourselves on brewing excellent quality ales. Along with monthly special beers, our core range has a loyal following and we hope you are soon able to see and taste why!
